Dear Friend of the IRR,

Do you trust the police to protect you and your loved ones? Are you tired of having your hard-earned belongings stolen despite all the burglar bars, high fences, and security systems?

South Africans deserve better. We deserve a professional, competent police service we can trust to protect us.

Crime doesn't have to destroy lives. Criminals should be the ones living in fear, not you.

Law and Order: Regain Trust, Protect Lives, the second paper in our #WhatSACanBe series, sets out how the GNU can win back trust in the police service and save lives by allowing the provinces to form their own police forces.

We have already sent Law and Order: Regain Trust, Protect Lives to the Minister of Police, Senzo Mchunu MP, and the Deputy Minister of Police, Polly Boshielo MP. We will continue to engage with the government officials who can implement the reforms presented in this paper.

IRR on the ground: GNU and a Liberal Perspective – Foundations of a New(er) South Africa with Helen Zille

As part of our work to engage with the GNU, Makone Maja, our Campaign Manager, attended a dialogue event last week where Helen Zille spoke about the potential influence of classical liberalism on the GNU.

 Live Free. Prosper.
